Multicultural Literacy Education as A Tool for Social Justice

Abstract

What is Multicultural Literacy? Multicultural literacy is defined as skills that are involved when uncovering bias in regards to culture, as well as the ability to respect different perspectives and cultures. This paper discusses how multicultural literacy was used as a tool for social justice through a Multiculral Education Action Project (MAEP). Implications for educators are discussed.
